Blackburn Rovers's global advisor Shebby Singh has revealed that the club could appoint a new manager as early as tomorrow.
The Championship outfit have been without a manager for the majority of the festive period following the decision to sack Henning Berg after just 57 days in charge last week.
With Nottingham Forest due to visit Ewood Park on New Year's Day, Singh has said that a new boss could be unveiled after the match.
"I have made my submissions to my bosses. They will receive it, then we will talk about it," Singh told the Lancashire Telegraph.
"We would like to make an appointment on New Year's Day to start the new year in the right way and to see the back of a horrible 2012."
The majority of bookmakers have made Singh a 25/1 shot to be given the job.
