Former Hammer Alessandro Diamanti signs for Guangzhou Evergrande

Former West Ham United player Alessandro Diamanti agrees terms to move to Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande.

Former West Ham United player Alessandro Diamanti has agreed terms to move to Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande, his Serie A club Bologna confirmed earlier today.

Talks between both clubs have been ongoing for some time, with Guangzhou coach Marcello Lippi playing a role in luring the Italy international to the Chinese Super League side.

"Bologna has reached agreement with Guangzhou Evergrande FC for the permanent transfer of Alessandro Diamanti," read a statement on Bologna's official website.

The 30-year-old, who has been capped 17 times by the Azzurri, is believed to have signed a three-year deal with Guangzhou worth up to £7.5m to the Italian club.
