Bolton Wanderers secure all three points in a 2-0 win over Charlton Athletic at the Reebok Stadium.

Two second-half goals from David Ngog have given Bolton Wanderers a 2-0 win over Charlton Athletic this afternoon.

The game began with a cagey opening as both sides struggled to dominate the game.

After 24 minutes, the Charlton players were adamant that they should have had a penalty when Keith Andrews seemed to send Chris Solly tumbling, although the referee wasn't interested.

Minutes later, Danny Haynes found himself in on goal, but a last-ditch challenge from Tyrone Mears denied the chance.

Haynes had a chance again on 37 minutes and could have made it 1-0, but he headed his effort wide of the post.

Yann Kermorgant had the first chance of the second period, rising high to head home, but Zat Knight's presence put the forward off.

The best chance of the half came after 69 minutes, when Haynes shot from a tight angle only to be denied by Adam Bogdan.

Bolton took the lead after 74 minutes when David Ngog showed a touch of class to glide past two players and poke it home to make it 1-0.

Ngog then grabbed his second on 82 minutes, receiving the ball on the edge of the area before coming onto his left and finishing well to make it 2-0.
