Oliver Bierhoff: 'Jurgen Klopp exit a loss for the Bundesliga'

Oliver Bierhoff admits that seeing Jurgen Klopp leave Borussia Dortmund is a big loss for the Bundesliga.

Former Germany international Oliver Bierhoff has admitted that the departure of Jurgen Klopp would be a big loss for the Bundesliga.

It was confirmed on Wednesday that Klopp would leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season after a successful seven-year spell, and despite revealing his disappointment, Bierhoff believes that the coach is destined for the Premier League.

"If he goes to another club it will surely be one from another country and England has maybe the best league in the world," he told reporters.

"I am a bit sad that he is quitting. He is a big personality and did excellent work at Dortmund. It will be a loss for the Bundesliga.

"But I myself played 13 years abroad and it was a great experience. Is the same for coaches."

A report has suggested that Manchester City are not interested in bringing Klopp to the Etihad Stadium following recent speculation that he was being lined up to replace Manuel Pellegrini.
