Mats Hummels recovers from a hip injury to start for Borussia Dortmund against Schalke in the Revierderby this afternoon.

Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels has been passed fit to start his side's Bundesliga clash with Schalke at home this afternoon.

The 23-year-old missed Germany's recent two 2014 World Cup qualifiers with a hip injury, but has recovered in time for today's Revierderby.

Lars Unnerstall retains his place in the Schalke goal despite the full recovery of Timo Hildebrand, and he will be protected by the four-man defence of Atsuto Uchida, Benedikt Howedes, Joel Matip and Christian Fuchs.

Borussia Dortmund: Weidenfeller, Piszczek, Subotic, Hummels, Grosskreutz, Bender, Kehl, Perisic, Reus, Leitner, Lewandowski

Schalke: Unnerstall, Uchida, Matip, Howedes, Fuchs, Neustadter, Hoger, Farfan, Holtby, Afellay, Huntelaar
