Monday's Championship playoff predictions including Bournemouth vs. Brentford

Sports Mole provides score predictions for both of Monday's Championship playoff semi-final first legs - Bournemouth vs. Brentford and Barnsley vs. Swansea.

Bournemouth and Brentford square off in the first leg of their Championship playoff semi-final at the Vitality Stadium on Monday evening.

While the home side ended the regular season with three successive defeats, the visitors are unbeaten in 12 matches in the second tier.

We say: Bournemouth 1-1 Brentford

Given the contrasting form of the two sides, there can be little doubting that Brentford are the favourites for this contest. Nevertheless, Bournemouth will revert to their strongest team for this game and with the stakes getting higher, we expect an improved performance from their experienced players.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Barnsley vs. Swansea (Monday, 8.15pm)

Barnsley play host to Swansea City in the first leg of their Championship playoff semi-final looking to move a step closer to an unlikely promotion to the Premier League.

While The Tykes ended the season with a draw against champions Norwich City, the fourth-placed visitors were comfortably defeated by runners-up Watford.

We say: Barnsley 1-1 Swansea City

With these two clubs regarded as outsiders for promotion, we expect nerves to play their part over the two legs. With that in mind, do not be surprised to see a low-scoring first leg with both teams anxious about giving too much away ahead of the reverse fixture.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or draw.
