Harry Redknapp expects Eddie Howe stay at Bournemouth

Former Bournemouth boss Harry Redknapp believes that current manager Eddie Howe will be at the club for the foreseeable future.

Former Bournemouth boss Harry Redknapp has backed current manager Eddie Howe to remain at the club.

The 37-year-old effectively guided the Cherries to the Premier League last night with a 3-0 win over Bolton Wanderers.

Howe has overseen two promotions in three years at Dean Court after returning to the club in 2012 when they were struggling in League One.

The former defender is now considered to be one of the most promising young coaches in English football, but Redknapp expects him to remain grounded and stay with Bournemouth.

"Lots of big clubs looking at managers will have him top of their list," he told BBC Sport. "But I think he's a lad that will want to stay and see the job through. He is Bournemouth through and through, I don't see him leaving the club."

Bournemouth play their final match of the season on Saturday when they face Charlton Athletic at The Valley.
