Brentford extend Chris Long's loan deal

Young Everton striker Chris Long has his loan deal at Championship side Brentford extended until April 18.

Brentford have confirmed that on-loan Everton striker Chris Long will remain with the club until April 18.

The 20-year-old, who has scored four goals for Brentford, had originally been due to return to the Merseyside club today.

"I am delighted to secure Chris Long for another month. He has settled really well in to the group and is making progress on and off the field," Brentford manager Mark Warburton told the club's official website.

"Chris has scored four Championship goals and has improved with every game he has played. He is pushing Andre Gray hard for a starting spot but they also have a fantastic relationship and are feeding off each other.

"We are looking forward to Chris continuing to have an impact for the rest of the season."

Long, who has made one senior appearance for Everton, has two goals in four games for the England Under-20 side.
