Celtic manager Ronny Deila has confirmed that James Forrest has turned down the club's offer of a new contract.
The Scottish champions stated earlier this season that they were confident the winger would commit to fresh terms.
However, having turned down the proposal, it is likely that Forrest will leave Parkhead in the summer.
"We offered him a contract and he has turned it down. He has told us he wishes to see what his other options are," Deila told reporters.
"I cannot see that we will go back to him with another improved deal because to my mind it was a very good offer that the club put to him."
The 24-year-old has made 183 appearances for Celtic, scoring 30 goals in the process.
