Ramon Calderon tips Jose Mourinho for Real Madrid return

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez wants Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho back, according to former Blancos chief Ramon Calderon.

Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has revealed that current incumbent Florentino Perez would welcome Jose Mourinho back to the Bernabeu.

Speculation is rife that Mourinho will be sacked by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich for a second time if the champions - who sit 15th in the Premier League table, 11 points off the pace - lose at home to Liverpool on Saturday.

The Portuguese suffered an acrimonious departure from the Blancos in 2013, having fallen out with a number of high-profile players toward the end of his tumultuous three-year spell in the Spanish capital.

Calderon told beIN Sports: "You know in football the results are very important. Chelsea is in a situation that is not usual for them and I don't know what Abramovich will be thinking about that.

"This situation was lived by both of them a few years ago and he decided to sack him. If he is not any more in Chelsea, I think Perez will be really willing to bring him back to Real Madrid."

Under Rafael Benitez, Real sit top of La Liga.
