Brazilian defender David Luiz believes that Andre Villas-Boas is the right man to bring success to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea defender David Luiz is "convinced" that Andre Villas-Boas is the right man to lead the club.

The Portuguese won the treble with FC Porto last season, but that was his first season managing a major side and many doubt he has the experience to succeed.

"Villas-Boas deserves to be in charge at Chelsea and I am convinced he will succeed in England," Luiz said.

"Every coach has a different style of work. Andre is different to Ancelotti and I am hoping for more success than last season.

"I had respect for Ancelotti but, of course, it is easy when the manager also speaks my language."

Chelsea, who have seven points from their opening three Premier League matches, face Sunderland at the Stadium of Light this Saturday.
