Jose Mourinho pleased with Southampton win

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho admits that he was pleased with his side in their 3-0 win over Southampton that helps them keep pace with Arsenal and Manchester City at the top of the table.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has revealed that he was pleased with his side's performance in their 3-0 victory over Southampton.

Goals from Fernando Torres, Willian and Oscar secured the win for the Blues as they controlled the game for the majority of proceedings at St Mary's Stadium.

Mourinho told BBC Sport: "We did very well and managed to defend very well in the box. We were fighting and sliding and defending with everything we had.

"When we had the ball we were always dangerous and, in the second half, I think Willian and Oscar gave us a different intensity and speed and after that the game was open and quite easy for us."

Chelsea are third in the Premier League following their win over the Saints.
