Paris Saint-Germain reportedly approach Rafael Benitez for talks about becoming their new manager.

Rafael Benitez has reportedly been approached by Paris Saint-Germain over the possibility of becoming their new manager this summer.

The Spaniard, whose recent temporary charge at Chelsea came to an end, could be about to spark a managerial merry-go-round and replace Carlo Ancelotti at the Ligue 1 champions after the Italian recently asked to leave the Parc des Princes.

Benitez leaving the Blues would allow Jose Mourinho, who was recently confirmed to be leaving Real Madrid this summer, to return as head coach at Stamford Bridge with Ancelotti then filling his vacancy at the Santiago Bernabeu.

This has left the French giants in talks with Benitez's advisers after they gave up hope of persuading Ancelotti to stay, according to L'Equipe.

Benitez has also been linked with Napoli and Stoke City.
