Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes that current table-toppers Chelsea are the early favourites for the 2020-21 Premier League title.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes that Chelsea are this year's favourites for the Premier League title.

The Blues returned to the summit courtesy of a 3-1 victory over Leeds United on Saturday evening, although Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are a point behind with a game in hand ahead of Sunday's fixtures.

However, Klopp - who led Liverpool to their first-ever Premier League crown last season - thinks that the Blues are the favourites to go the distance in the 2020-21 campaign.

Speaking to reporters, Klopp said: "If I watch football games at the moment then Chelsea, for me, look like favourites.

"They have the biggest squad, great players playing well together after a rusty start - and they are full on. They have unbelievable opportunities to change in games and make changes from one game to the other – so that is it.

"I don't feel we are chasing anyone at the moment – or that anyone is chasing us. Pressure is there for us but it's about how much you think about that pressure, to be honest."

Spurs have the chance to return to the top of the table in Sunday afternoon's North London derby before Liverpool take to the pitch against Wolverhampton Wanderers in front of a 2,000-strong Anfield crowd a couple of hours later.
