Chelsea reportedly one of several clubs interested in signing Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero this summer.

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, who will see his contract expire this summer.

The 32-year-old is yet to have held talks with City regarding an extension to his current deal, with negotiations set to take place at the end of this season.

According to the Daily Mail, Aguero is keen to stay in the Premier League even if he leaves the Etihad Stadium this summer, and Chelsea are currently the only English top-flight side who have registered their interest.

The Blues are to prioritise the signing of a striker this summer and have been heavily linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland.

However, failing to sign the Norwegian sensation could see Thomas Tuchel's side step up their efforts to land Aguero ahead of other potential rivals including Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

The Argentine, who is City's all-time record goalscorer with 257 strikes to his name, has struggled with injuries throughout this campaign, which has restricted him to just 14 matches, scoring only three goals.
