Rangers have allegedly identified Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud as a potential January signing.
Having fallen behind Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, Giroud is expected to leave Chelsea at the start of 2020.
A wide range of clubs have been linked with an approach for the France international, including the likes of Crystal Palace and Inter Milan.
However, L'Equipe claims that Rangers have made contact with the 33-year-old ahead of a possible switch to Ibrox.
While a move north of the border appears unlikely at this stage, Giroud is eager to earn regular first-team football ahead of Euro 2020.
The veteran has just six months left on his contract, leaving him free to speak with any interested clubs next month.
