Chelsea midfielder Andre Schurrle has strongly dismissed speculation linking him with a move away from the club, claiming that he is "happy" with life at Stamford Bridge.
The 24-year-old, who joined the Blues from Bayer Leverkusen last year for a fee in the region of £18m, has struggled to hold down a starting spot in recent weeks having fallen out of favour under Jose Mourinho.
However, after scoring on his return to the side in last night's 3-1 victory over Sporting Lisbon, Schurrle played down talk of a January exit.
"Of course I can just laugh all the talk of leaving off. I am not going to change the club in the transfer window," the told the London Evening Standard.
"I am happy where I am, I am happy in London. I love the city, I love the fans. We have a great team and want to win something this season. This is where I belong and where I want to help. I know what the manager wants for me and that he likes me."
Mourinho also claimed following last night's Champions League triumph - which saw Chelsea keep their unbeaten start to the competition intact - that Schurrle was a part of his plans.
