The 27-year-old midfielder has impressed on his return to the Premier League on a season-long loan from Barcelona, where he made only 34 appearances in two years.
Italian giants Inter Milan have been linked with an interest in the former Arsenal man, but Song has stressed that remaining in England is "definitely" his preferred option as he prepares to make a decision on his future in the summer.
"Yeah, I definitely want to stay here," Song told Sky Sports News.
"I don't know [if I can sign a permanent deal at West Ham]. I can't say anything now because I want to focus on the rest of the season and then we will see."
Chelsea and Liverpool are believed to be interested in the Cameroonian, who is thought to favour a move to either of those two clubs over a permanent transfer to the Hammers.
