John Salako: 'Crystal Palace should stand by Ian Holloway'

John Salako believes that Crystal Palace should stand by manager Ian Holloway, despite picking just three points from eight games in the Premier League.

Former Crystal Palace midfielder John Salako believes that the Eagles would be making a mistake if they sack manager Ian Holloway.

The former Blackpool boss is said to be on the verge of losing his job following last night's 4-1 defeat to Fulham at Selhurst Park.

"The truth is Palace haven't got the quality," Salako told talkSPORT. "The club has come so far.

"I think Ian Holloway is doing a great job. I don't think anyone could come in and do any more."

Palace, who secured promotion to the Premier League via the playoffs last season, currently sit second from bottom in the table with just three points from eight games.
