Derby County are reportedly considering a move for free agent Scott Allan after offering the midfielder a trial at Pride Park.
The 22-year-old is on the hunt for a new club after leaving West Bromwich Albion at the end of last season following two years at The Hawthorns.
Allan failed to force his way into the Baggies first team, which resulted in loan stints at Portsmouth, MK Dons and Birmingham City.
According to the Derby Telegraph, the Championship side have offered Allan a trial and could give the midfielder a deal if they are impressed by the free agent.
Allan, who has earned caps at Under-21 level for Scotland, began his career at Dundee United.
