McCarthy: 'Jarvis is back to England form'

Mick McCarthy believes that Matt Jarvis is playing well enough to earn a recall to the England squad.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Mick McCarthy believes that Matt Jarvis has rediscovered the form that saw him called up to the England squad.

The 25-year-old winger was handed his one-and-only international cap by Fabio Capello during a friendly in March against Ghana.

Jarvis has struggled to replicate his previous performances during parts of this season but McCarthy believes that his positive form is returning.

"Against Manchester United, he was terrific and the reality is he caused havoc for 20 minutes against Stoke," McCarthy told reporters. "It means he must be back to the form which earned him an England call because he is back to his best - and his best was when England were wanting to give him a cap."

Jarvis joined Wolves in 2007 from Gillingham.
