Everton have received a boost after the club confirmed that Arouna Kone's knee injury is not as serious as first thought.
The Ivorian was substituted late on in Sunday's 2-1 win away at Queens Park Rangers, sparking worries that he might be facing a long spell on the sidelines.
However, a statement on the Everton website said: "A scan has confirmed that Arouna Kone's knee injury is not serious, but it is not yet known whether he will be fit for Everton's next game, against Southampton on April 4."
The 31-year-old has a history of knee problems, missing 14 months after one such injury last season.
