Everton manager Marco Silva has said that striker Cenk Tosun's confidence is growing ahead of the new Premier League season.
Turkish forward Tosun scored in the first-half of the Toffees' 3-2 defeat to Valencia last Saturday, which was the Merseyside outfit's fourth successive defeat in pre-season.
Silva, however, told the club's official website that the 27-year-old is "improving his game" ahead of Everton's first match against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
"In the box he is a fantastic football player," the manager said. "The capacity he has to score with his right and left foot [is important]. He improved on the other things in his game and did well. He understood better what I want and is improving his game.
"For a striker, when he scores everything is different and it helps his confidence grow."
Tosun, who moved to Everton from Besiktas in January, scored five goals in 14 Premier League appearances last term.
