Everton have reportedly edged closer to completing the signing of AC Milan midfielder Andrea Bertolacci.
Earlier this summer, Marco Silva was confirmed as the replacement for Sam Allardyce but the Toffees are yet to make any new signings since the arrival of the Portuguese.
However, according to TuttoMercato, Everton are looking to bring in Bertolacci on a long-term deal and for a fee in the region of £5m.
The 27-year-old spent the most recent campaign on loan at Genoa and made 33 starts in Serie A, but Gennaro Gattuso does not consider the player as part of his plans at San Siro.
Between 2015 and 2017, Bertolacci made 30 starts and 12 substitute appearances for Milan in Italy's top flight.
