Report: Everton target Ever Banega

A report claims that Everton are considering a move for Sevilla midfielder Ever Banega, who is currently locked in contract talks with his Spanish club.

Everton are reportedly mulling over a move for Sevilla midfielder Ever Banega, who is currently locked in contract talks with his current club.

It is understood that all parties want the 27-year-old to extend his contract in Seville, with the player's representative claiming on Saturday that progress was being made in the talks.

However, according to the Liverpool Echo, Everton are closely monitoring proceedings and will make a move if they sense that the midfielder wants to leave his Spanish club.

Banega joined Sevilla from Valencia in the summer of 2014 and has played a key role for Unai Emery's side since arriving at the Estadio Ramon.
