Ever Banega wants new Sevilla deal

Argentine midfielder Ever Banega says that he wants to sign a new long-term deal at Sevilla after 'finding peace and security' at the Spanish club.

Ever Banega has revealed that he would be open to the possibility of signing a new long-term contract at Sevilla.

The Argentine midfielder moved to the Estadio Ramon in 2014 following a loan spell with Newell's Old Boys.

Off-the-field issues blighted much of his time at Valencia from 2008 to 2014, but the 27-year-old has impressed since arriving in Seville, with his form leading to talk that a number of clubs are monitoring developments.

Despite the speculation, Banega, who scored in Sevilla's 3-2 win over Real Madrid at the weekend, has revealed that he is "really happy" at his current club.

"I am really comfortable at Sevilla. Here I have found peace and security and I am really happy," Banega told Radio Marca.

"Whether they want me to stay or not, I always want to do well on the pitch. As for the rumours, I don't take note of them. I'm flattered [if Boca want me], but I am still [too] young to return to Argentina.

"Now is not the time for that. I would love to one day, but I'm happy at Sevilla. My representatives are talking with the club about a renewal, but nothing has been decided yet."

Manchester City have been credited with an interest in the midfielder.
