Brede Hangeland believes that Fulham can beat Sunderland at the Cottage.

Fulham defender Brede Hangeland has said that he is confident that the Cottagers can beat travelling Sunderland this afternoon.

The London club, who are coming off the back of a win at Anfield, have won four of their last six league games and are on course to finish in the top half of the table. However, Hangeland admits that he is expecting no straightforward task.

"It will be another difficult game against Sunderland," he told the club's official website.

"We know what to expect. But on the back of the win at Anfield and recent home performances, we should be confident we can win.

"We are aiming for a top ten finish and we're aiming to get points from both of our last two games."

Fulham are in ninth place in the Premier League.
