Fulham manager Martin Jol has turned his attention to Freiburg striker Papiss Demba Cisse, according to BBC Sport.
The 26-year-old scored on 22 occasions in the Bundesliga last season and has a total of 32 goals in 51 appearances for the German club.
Freiburg have claimed that they have received three offers for the Senegal international and Cisse has made it clear that his intention is to leave the club.
"I really want to try playing at a different level," Cisse told German radio station SWR.
"I want to leave. I hope that this happens before Wednesday, August 31 [when the transfer window closes]."
Reports have suggested that the Cottagers will have to pay £13m to obtain Cisse’s services.
