Cafu: 'Bastian Schweinsteiger Germany's best player'

Bastian Schweinsteiger is the key player in the Germany side, according to former Brazil player Cafu.

Former Brazil right-back Cafu has insisted that of all of Germany's talented players it is Bastian Schweinsteiger who could have the biggest say for his team in this summer's World Cup.

Cafu said that Brazil and Germany are the two most likely winners of the tournament, and if Schweinsteiger can maintain the form that he has shown for Bayern Munich then the Europeans have every chance.

"Germany have a strong team who have performed well recently," Cafu told Kicker. "Along with Brazil they're among the favourites.

"What impresses me most is Bastian Schweinsteiger. He is a complete player who has been an enormous help to his team Bayern."

Schweinsteiger has played 102 times for Germany.
