Baba Diawara rescues point for Getafe

Baba Diawara scores a late equaliser as Getafe come from behind to earn a 1-1 draw against Cordoba.

Cordoba have been denied their first victory in La Liga this season after being held to a 1-1 draw by Getafe.

Nabil Ghilas had the best chance for the visitors in a goalless first half when his strike from the edge of the box went just wide of the post.

Ghilas had another good opportunity to score for his side after the break, but saw his header kept out by Vicente Guaita.

Patrick Ekeng then gave Cordoba the lead in the 78th minute when he drove into the box before firing a strike across the keeper and into the bottom corner.

With a minute of the game left to play Getafe found the net as Baba Diawara arrived to tap in Sergio Escudero's cross and earn his side a point.
