Stephen Hunt wants Ipswich Town stay

Stephen Hunt says that he would like to extend his short-term contract with Ipswich Town.

Ipswich Town midfielder Stephen Hunt has said that he would like to extend his deal at Portman Road.

The 32-year-old joined the club on a short-term deal on Friday, which will keep him at the Championship outfit until January.

The former Wolverhampton Wanderers player has said that he is already enjoying life with the Suffolk club.

"I'm delighted to be here. This is a great football club and I want to do well for the lads here and the gaffer," Hunt told Ipswich's official website.

"I'm enjoying my work and if you enjoy your work then hopefully that shows through on a Saturday.

"Hopefully I can stay here beyond January, I'd love to. The proof will be in the pudding though."

Hunt made his debut for the club in their 3-2 win at Blackpool last weekend.
