Massimiliano Allegri: Arturo Vidal "happy to stay" at Juventus

Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri is confident that he will have Arturo Vidal at his disposal next season.

New Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri has insisted that Arturo Vidal has given no indication that he would like to leave the club this summer.

A report in Vidal's native Chile this morning claimed that the 27-year-old had verbally agreed a switch to Manchester United.

However, Allegri has described the midfielder as "fundamental" to the Italian champions and with that in mind, he does not expect to lose his services.

"Vidal is fundamental for Juventus and not just in practical terms. He is very motivated and he is happy to stay," Allegri told reporters.

Vidal returned to training with Juventus today following an extended break due to his World Cup commitments.
