Los Angeles technical director Jovan Kirovski says that the MLS side will do everything that they can to keep Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Los Angeles Galaxy technical director Jovan Kirovski has revealed that the club are going to do all that they can to fend off interest in Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The 37-year-old netted 22 goals from 28 appearances during the most recent campaign, and it has resulted in the legendary Swede being heavily linked with a return to Europe.

AC Milan have allegedly held talks with Ibrahimovic's representative Mino Raiola, but LA Galaxy have no intention of letting their star man leave without a fight.

Kirovski told Sky Sport Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio: "Ibrahimovic is a fantastic player both for us and for the whole of MLS. He's the best player to have come to the American league. He's a killer, he always wants to win and score.

"Ibrahimovic's contract isn't expiring, he still has a year on his contract with us. We want him to be happy in our team and we are working to ensure that he can continue playing for the Galaxy.

"He's a special player, unique for us. To score so many goals and provide so many assists at his age, after the injury at Manchester United, is incredible. There are many excellent players, but no-one is like him."

Ibrahimovic has previously played for Milan, with 42 goals coming from 61 Serie A appearances between 2010 and 2012.
