Middlesbrough forward Ashley Fletcher has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Leeds United.
Since arriving at Elland Road, Paul Heckingbottom has won just three of his 14 matches in charge but it appears that the head coach is already considering his options ahead of the summer window.
According to The Gazette, Leeds hold an interest in signing Fletcher, who enjoyed a loan spell at Barnsley during Heckingbottom's time at Oakwell.
The 22-year-old is currently on loan at Sunderland but a return of just one goal in 15 matches is unlikely to lead to a first-team chance at the Riverside Stadium next season.
Leeds are said to be eyeing up a temporary deal for the former Manchester United man, who still has over three years left on his contract at Middlesbrough.
