Claudio Ranieri: 'Leicester City players were inspired by Kasabian'

New Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri claims that he used Kasabian's song "Fire" to inspire his Foxes players to their 4-2 Premier League win over Sunderland.

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has admitted that his side were driven to their 4-2 Premier League opening-day win over Sunderland by local rock band Kasabian.

The Italian saw his Foxes side claim all three points at the King Power thanks to a Riyad Mahrez brace and goals from Jamie Vardy and Marc Albrighton.

Ranieri told BBC Sport: "I told my players, 'when you go on the pitch and you hear the song Fire from Kasabian, that means they want warriors'. I want to see them as warriors for the fans."

Leicester currently top the Premier League table.
