Leicester City come from behind to beat West Bromwich Albion

A late goal from Leicester City gives the Foxes a 3-2 win over West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League.

Leicester City scored a stoppage-time winner to beat West Bromwich Albion 3-2 at The Hawthorns after coming from behind twice in their Premier League this afternoon.

The Baggies were ahead inside the opening 10 minutes when Darren Fletcher scrambled the ball over, although the referee had to use goalline technology to be certain that the ball had crossed the line.

The hosts continued to look the more dangerous in the early stages as Saido Berahino was set up by Chris Brunt, but his long-range finish was held by Kasper Schmeichel.

Despite the Baggies' early dominance, the Foxes were back on level terms when Leonardo Ulloa blasted the ball in from a free kick, leaving David Nugent to smash it in from close range.

It did not take West Brom long to regain the lead though as Brunt crossed the ball in to set up Craig Gardner for a volley, and a deflection off Wes Morgan took the ball past Schmeichel.

The visitors could have been back on level terms again early in the second half when Jamie Vardy rounded a couple of defenders before driving towards the West Brom goal, but his effort was blocked.

Leicester continued to see the majority of the possession as they tried to rescue a point, but Tony Pulis's side had numbers back to limit their chances.

The visitors' pressure paid off their 10 minutes to play though as they forced a corner, which Nugent tried to head into, but the clearance dropped to Robert Huth, leaving the defender to nod it in from close range.

Nigel Pearson's side were not settling for the draw, pushing for a third as the full-time whistle approached, but Boaz Myhill punched a Nugent cross clear.

However, Leicester were forward again in stoppage time, and managed to edge in front with just seconds to spare as Gareth McAuley led Vardy slip past him, leaving him space to slot the ball in low.

Despite the win, Leicester remain bottom in the table, three points from safety, while West Brom sit 14th.
