Liverpool injury list and return dates for Brighton: Alisson, Chiesa, Jota latest

Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Seeking to replicate their midweek feats over Brighton & Hove Albion, Liverpool host the Seagulls in Saturday's Premier League battle at Anfield.

The Reds booked their place in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup by eking out a 3-2 victory over Fabian Hurzeler's men on Wednesday night, being rewarded with a trip to Southampton in the last eight.

However, Arne Slot's men have lost their grip on first place in the Premier League table owing to last weekend's 2-2 draw with Arsenal, which left them one point behind Manchester City in the rankings.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their quick reunion with Brighton, who occupy sixth place in the top-flight table.

Diogo Jota

Status: Out
Type of injury: Abdominal
Possible return date: November 24 (vs. Southampton)

Slot confirmed before the win over Brighton that Diogo Jota would be sidelined until after the November international break with the abdominal injury he suffered against Chelsea a couple of Premier League gameweeks ago.

Alisson Becker

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: November 24 (vs. Southampton)

Similarly, Alisson Becker will also have to wait until after the next international window to make his return from the hamstring problem he picked up against Crystal Palace at the beginning of the month.

Federico Chiesa

Status: Out
Type of injury: Fitness
Possible return date: Unknown

The luckless Federico Chiesa is currently out of the first-team picture due to struggles with his overall fitness and niggling injuries, and Slot is not putting any pressure on him to return imminently given his history of physical problems.

Harvey Elliott

Status: Out
Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: November 24 (vs. Southampton)

There was initially some hope that Harvey Elliott might have been back from his foot fracture this side of the international break, but late November is now considered more realistic for the Englishman.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no players suspended for this match.
