Liverpool star Adam Lallana is reportedly sent to Qatar in order to boost his recovery from a thigh injury.

Liverpool have reportedly sent Adam Lallana to Qatar to continue his recovery from a thigh injury.

The England international has been out of action since the start of August and as a result has not played at all this season.

The 29-year-old did not need to undergo surgery, and even though he is closing in on a return to action, the Daily Mail reports that the Reds have sent the midfielder to the Aspire facility in Qatar.

The former Southampton star, who has travelled to the Aspetar sports clinic with a member of Liverpool's medical staff, could return to the pitch towards the middle of next month.

In Lallana's absence, the Reds have won three, drawn three and lost one in the Premier League, which has left the club seventh in the standings.

Jurgen Klopp's men, who will face Manchester United on Saturday, have only sealed one victory in their last seven matches in all competitions.
