Pepe Reina has no "regrets" about leaving Liverpool

Pepe Reina insists that he has no regrets about leaving Liverpool permanently last year following a nine-year spell at the club.

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Pepe Reina has insisted that he does not regret ending his nine-year spell at Liverpool.

The 32-year-old sealed a permanent move to the Bundesliga giants last year following a year-long loan at Napoli.

The Spaniard, who will return to Anfield this weekend to play in an All-Star charity match, was replaced by Simon Mignolet when he left Liverpool.

"In football there is no time for regrets," Reina told talkSPORT. "You have to look forward and I am happy with what I achieved at Liverpool during my career.

"I will enjoy Sunday to say goodbye to all the fans who loved me for the years I was there and I always be happy and grateful to Liverpool."

Reina will take part in this weekend's match alongside Bayern teammate Xabi Alonso, who spent five years at Liverpool.
