Andrew Robertson insists that complacency has not become a factor for Liverpool, despite their surprise 3-0 defeat at Watford on Saturday evening.

Andrew Robertson has insisted that Liverpool "are not getting carried away" with their position in the Premier League table.

Having established a 22-point lead at the top of the standings, Liverpool had been hoping to go throughout the campaign without suffering defeat until they were beaten by Watford on Saturday evening.

Despite the poor performance at Vicarage Road, the defender has claimed that he and his teammates remain fully focused on taking advantage of their current status.

The Scot told the club's official website: "Our message has always been the same: we can't get carried away.

"Of course, fans are going to get carried away and enjoy the moment we're in and that's nice for us because if our fans are enjoying the way we're playing and what we're doing, it means we're doing something right.

"For us, we know how hard this league is. Today we were hoping to make it only three wins away but we're still four wins away and it's going to be tough but we believe we can do it."

Liverpool's 44-game unbeaten streak in the top flight also came to an end against the Hornets.
