Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno wants to secure a return to La Liga at the end of the season, according to a report.

Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno is reportedly desperate to secure a return to La Liga at the end of the season.

Moreno will see his current deal with the Reds expire in June 2019, and it is unlikely that the left-back will pen an extension with the Merseyside giants.

Arsenal have recently been credited with an interest in the defender, but according to Estadio Deportivo, Moreno is determined to return to Spain.

Moreno came through the youth system at Sevilla and made more than 60 first-team appearances for the club ahead of a switch to Liverpool in 2014.

The report claims that the 26-year-old's former team are interested in a reunion, although Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are also said to be monitoring developments.

Moreno has only made one Premier League appearance for Liverpool this season, having lost his place at left-back to Andrew Robertson.
