Liverpool are running the rule over Swedish goalkeeping prospects Hugo Andersson and Oskar Abrahamsson, according to the teenage pairs' coach.
The stoppers, who currently represent Malmo-based clubs LB07 and Bjarreds, were given a two-day trial at youth-team level last week.
Both players are likely to join Malmo's academy when they reach the age of 16, but Merseyside rivals Liverpool and Everton may make an approach further down the line.
Goalkeeping coach Jimmy Hansen is quoted by The Sun as saying: "They did some fantastic training, and both Liverpool and Everton will want to follow their development.
"I have trained them for several years, and they have progressed very well. Few players get the chance they were given."
Abrahamsson added: "It was great to train with the coaches who have developed so many good players. But we missed seeing Liverpool's first team as they were in Spain to play Sevilla."
At first-team level, Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius are currently battling it out for the number one spot.
