Borussia Monchengladbach pair Denis Zakaria and Marcus Thuram are reportedly being lined up by Liverpool ahead of the next transfer window.

Liverpool are planning a double raid on Borussia Monchengladbach for highly-rated pair Denis Zakaria and Marcus Thuram, according to a report.

Both players have impressed for a Gladbach side sitting fourth in Bundesliga and are rumoured to be on the radar of numerous European heavyweights.

German outlet Express claims that Liverpool are among the sides interested, with sporting director Michael Edwards lining up deals for defensive midfielder Zakaria and forward Thuram, the son of the former France international Lilian.

Zakaria, also touted as a target for Premier League rivals Manchester United and Arsenal, has featured 31 times in all competitions this term, while Thuram has been used on 33 occasions.

The report indicates that it could cost Liverpool up to £88m to land both targets.
