Alberto Moreno 'to leave Liverpool on a free'

Spanish defender Alberto Moreno will leave Liverpool on a free transfer at the end of the season, according to a report.

Spanish defender Alberto Moreno will reportedly leave Liverpool on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Moreno, 26, will see his current deal with the Reds expire next summer.

According to Goal.com, Liverpool are currently not in negotiations with the left-back over a fresh deal, and Moreno is now exploring other avenues as he prepares to leave Merseyside.

Moreno, who will be free to negotiate with foreign clubs at the start of 2019, moved to Liverpool from Sevilla in 2014, and has made over 130 appearances for his English side in all competitions.

The defender has largely struggled to impress at Anfield, however, and has just one EFL Cup appearance to his name this term.

The last of Moreno's four Spain caps arrived in 2017.
