Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore has reportedly turned down advances from Liverpool as he is targeting a return to Italian football.
The Reds are understood to have added the Argentina international to their growing list of targets, as they seek a replacement for the recently-departed Philippe Coutinho.
Liverpool made an approach for Pastore, but respected Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio suggests that their offer of between £22m and £25m was not considered as the 28-year-old is not interested.
Tottenham Hotspur are said to have been given the same response, meanwhile, though they are confident of bringing in Lucas Moura from the Parisians before the January window closes.
Pastore, who impressed during a two-year spell with Palermo, is also said to have attracted interest from Inter Milan and would welcome a concrete offer.
