Real Mallorca dominate Levante at home in La Liga but are forced to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Real Mallorca have remained rooted to the foot of the La Liga table as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Levante at home.

The hosts went ahead in the seventh minute when Tomer Hemed latched on to Victor's pass and shot home from the centre of the box.

Mallorca could have doubled their advantage five minutes later when Geromel headed Marti's cross towards goal, but Keylor Navas made the save in the Levante goal.

Minutes later Victor saw his header saved before Giovani dos Santos shot wide from outside the box.

The home side continued to dominate proceedings at Iberostar Estadi but conceded the equaliser against the run of play on 42 minutes. Pedro Lopez swung in a cross and Robert Acquafresca headed it home from the centre of the box.

Dos Santos tried to put Mallorca back in the lead just two minutes into the second half with an effort from outside the box but failed, before Victor squandered two chances in a minute.

The remainder of the second half saw Mallorca retain the edge, as Alejandro Alfaro had two chances later on, but the Islanders had to settle for a point.
