Jose Mourinho: 'Manchester City are out of Europe'

Jose Mourinho says that Manchester City are already out of the Champions League ahead of their meeting with Real Madrid on Wednesday.

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho believes that Manchester City can already be considered as knocked out of the Champions League.

The La Liga champions travel to the Etihad Stadium to face the Premier League holders on Wednesday night with City needing to win their last two matches to stand any chance of qualifying for the knockout stages of the competition.

However, the former Chelsea boss believes that it is already too late for City to save themselves.

"I think they can win tomorrow, of course they can, and they can also win in Dortmund, why not, but eight points is not enough," said Mourinho. "I think they are out for a second time and that must be difficult for them."

However, the 'Special One' also revealed that he has no doubts that City can one day win the tournament.

"I think they are a team to win the competition - one of the teams to win the competition," he added. "I don't think it is normal when you are out of the competition at the very early stage."
