Borussia Dortmund striker Julian Schieber has said that he and his teammates are "very satisfied" with their victory over Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old's goal in the second half saw the German champions win their final Group D game 1-0 at home.

"I'm very happy that I managed to score my first UEFA Champions League goal," UEFA.com quotes him as saying.

"Our squad consists of 21 players and we can all contribute to the success. We are very satisfied with this victory."

The result means that Dortmund qualify for the last 16 as Group D winners with 14 points from six matches.
