Manchester City and Aston Villa turn their attentions away from Premier League matters with their League Cup meeting tomorrow. Here, Sports Mole previews the tie.

Roberto Mancini is expected to make a number of changes to his Manchester City starting lineup for tomorrow's Capital One Cup clash against Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium.

The young trio of Denis Suarez, Abdul Razaq and Luca Scapuzzi will all be included in the squad. However, there will also be plenty of experience as Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli are likely to be involved after starting Sunday's 1-1 draw with Arsenal on the bench.

French international Samir Nasri and full-back Maicon are still injured and will play no part though.

Also due to miss out on a return to his former club is Villa midfielder Stephen Ireland. The Irishman has suffered a suspected broken arm, although he is yet to undergo a scan.

Hosts City have not won the League Cup since 1976 when they beat Newcastle United in the final.
