Adam Johnson and Pablo Zabaleta sign new deals to stay at the Etihad.

Adam Johnson and Pablo Zabaleta have both signed new deals at Man City, the club confirmed today.

Winger Johnson, 24, has signed a four-year deal keeping him at the Etihad until 2016, while Argentinian defender Zabaleta, 26, remains until 2015.

"I wouldn't have signed if I didn't see a big future here," said Johnson of City, who are currently five points clear at the top of the table.

"This is such an exciting time to be at the club, things are moving so fast and there's been something new every day in the two years that I've been here.

"It's great being part of it - my game's improved, I'm playing for England and in the Champions League, that probably wouldn't have happened if I hadn't come here."

Zabaleta added that he "didn't think twice" about putting pen to paper on a new deal.
